Dec14th 1918

Dear Mother & Dad -

I guess you have been wondering what has happened to me, well while we were on the move we couldn't send any mail on account of the shortage of transportation I believe, we have only one more day to travel now so will be able to write again.

I haven't been receiving any mail either for the same reason I guess. The night before last a big bunch of parcels came in so talk about a feed it was like xmas we had all the cake, candy gum, fruit etc we could eat.

I hope you had a good Xmas and new years, wish I were with you, but every day now counts towards getting home.

The German people are treating us fine,

Will write a long letter in a few days, As ever
