Dear Father

I think I owe you a letter as it is sometimes since I wrote to you. Very sorry to hear that you had some of your crop hailed out, but I suppose there were some who got hailed out completely. So the crop is also had with [?]. [?] isn't one thing is seems to be another. I was glad to Inspector was around and you insured your crop. How are the pigs getting along this year? You haven't had very good luck with your colts this year. I was sorry to hear that Lady lost hers.

Tell Mother I also received that packet of papers as I forgot to mention in her letter. So Cecil is helping with the crop this year. When I get back he will be able to drive a four horse team. Did you put up much hay this year?

Has Mrs. Shandler moved to the city yet and who is going to take her place when she goes? Any time you ever want any money you can draw it from that $75 that comes every month for me.

Well Father this is about all I have to say.

From your loving Son,
Jimmie
