Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along fine one of my wounds is all healed up now. I received the 3£ you sent me the other day and it comes in mighty handy as I was pretty near broke.

We are having nice fine warm weather here now. They have the streets lit up now after going around in the dark for four years, I suppose everybody went near out of their minds when they heard the war was over.

I must ring off for now as I have no news.

Good Bye

AHamm.
