Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am well and getting along fine we are having very hot weather here now its as hot as we have it in July home. I got your letter which you wrote on April 5 saying you sent me a parcel but somebody else got the benefit of that for I was told it was opened in Amherst and ate. These letters are rather late coming as they were in Amherst for a long time.

I heard Charlie was home and got his discharge. Tell Addie that Mal. McCarron must have thought she baked the pie herself when he wouldn't eat it. I guess Col. Wood is sick after the feed is he. Mrs. McMill & Will Herb didn't get hitched yet did they, he will be pretty busy now since Will went west looking after both places now.

I haven't anything to write now so I guess I will close for this time.

Write Soon.

Good Bye.

Allan.
