Bramshott Camp
Dear Mrs. Hamm
Received your most very welcome letter yesterday and must say was more than glad to learn from you that you are all well and in good health for that is the way to be. Also gave Allan his latter that you sent in mine him and I are not very far away from each other now I see him every day was talking to Tom at dinner time he is getting fat since he came up to Bramshott, he got the skirts on now I tease him about them he does not like them a bit the same old Allan you know just as wild as ever and tell you the truth they is a pair of us.
Well Mrs. Hamm this is some camp. I fed up on this place now I think this is about the worse camp in England it if I know anything. I know I seen enough of it anyhow but we are in the army now you got to stay were they put you. know getting out of it I am back in My Reserve now waiting on Draft for France as soon as they is a Draft Called for I will be on it pretty near time I should think it is over a year now since I came to this camp and I think I had a pretty good stay in England I think we have lots of the Island boys in this camp now it is more like home went you meet some lady from P.E.I. went we came up here first last June 1917 they was know island boys at all. Just the Light that I came over in that is all the Island boys they were but now we have quite a few of them now.
Well Mrs. Hamm as this is all the news I have to tell you for this time. Will have to ring off for now will close for now.
