Dear Mother:-

As I have been away for a short walk this afternoon and landed at a Y.M.C.A. I thought I would drop you a few lines while having a rest to let you know I am getting along fine. We are having lovely weather here now but its very hot.

I am sending you a snap that I had taken when on pass. They are all island boys. No1 Adolph Dairon 2 Wesley Barnes 3 Duncan Stewart 4 Harry Barlow which is my particular chum.

I haven't had any mail from home for quite a little while. Vince Duffy is going to France some of those days. I was down to see Amos Doucette one evening but he was out.

How is Dad and all the rest. As news is mighty scarce I will have to close for now.

Good Bye.

Allan.
