Dear Violet:

Gee but is cold over here. I very near froze stiff coming down here to write this to-night. But I suppose it is just as cold in your town. I was down to Uncle Dan's to-day for dinner and up to Aunt Florrie's last night. I suppose you know I was home last Saturday but did not see you in Hamilton. I tried to catch that 1:30 train but the street cars were blocked up for about 20 minutes and of course I missed it. I don't know whether I will go home next Saturday or not but I think I will try. We had an exam on Sat. as usual and will hear the results to-morrow. Last Thursday we expected to have big doings up the Humber Valley and were up at 5:30 am and had breakfast and was all ready when it was cancelled because of the weather for it was snowing and blowing somewhat. The other night we had a concert in the recreation room and Col Barker presented the prizes won on field day last Saturday. The 95th have a tug-of-war team that are going to pull against the 75th to-morrow night at massey Hall. I think I will go up if it is free not I can't as I am broke and so is everybody else for that matter but never mind pay day on Tuesday. I guess this is all this time.

Jay.
