Dear Mother.

I suppose you are waiting for a letter. But I wrote one to Violet last week and had to wait till pay day before I could write to you. We were payed yesterday morning and your box came yesterday at noon. The pies and cookies were very much spashed and broken. The box looked as if it had received pretty rough handling. But they were very good just the same. I see by the paper to-night that the soldiers are getting three days leave at Easter but I am not sure whether the 95th will get it or not. I hope so. Sunday I went down to Uncle Dan's for dinner and supper. Grace, Uncle Jack and Aunt Florrie were there. Bruce says he will be home for a week at Easter. The 81st are on leave now I believe but I haven't heard anything about when we get our four days yet. Yesterday afternoon we had a big parade up town with all our equipment and I see by the orders there is one for to morrow too. After I finish this letter I am going down to the YMCA and see the movies. This will have to be all this time. Love to all.

Your Son.

Jay
