Dear Mother,

Just rec'd a bunch of your letters that have been following me around since I left Uxbridge.

One of them dated Feb 4th states that you rec'd that remittance that I made in January.

The reason you got it so quick was that it came right thro London where the other one came thro the field paymaster.

I just had a postcard from Frank dated April 18th so I guess he came thro the Vimy scrap O.K. Syd is up the line again.

They are not going to send any more men than is possible to England for treatment on account of the Germans sinking hospital ships.

I expect to be in Hastings for a month or two yet as I am on the garrison duty coy.

Give my love to everyone and yourself.

Jack
