Tuesday Feb. 5, 1918

Fine.

Notified today that I can return to my unit. Am glad I was beginning to get fed up on the lack of excitement.

Wednesday Feb. 6, 1918

Fine

Left the Rest Station and got back to the battery during the afternoon. Found Capt. Mielke still there and all the rest of the officers at the Guns. The Wagon Lines were in find shape and had been inspected by Gen Parist that morning.

Thursday Feb. 7, 1918

Drizzling rain nearly all day.

McCrimmon went on leave so I came up to the battery. Found everything quiet.

Friday Feb. 8, 1918

Fair.

At the battery all day. Everything is quiet and the Hun seems to be resting up.

Visited the 15th btty mess in the evening.

Saturday Feb. 9, 1918

Fair - ground mist

Front normal

Sunday Feb. 10, 1918

Nice day

Capt Mielke came up to the guns & MacDonald went down to W. Lines.

Wrote to Mary.

Monday Feb. 11, 1918

Nice day - heavy ground mist - no observation.

Front normal.

Mielke went down to W. Lines in P.M.

Wednesday Feb. 13, 1918

Raining all day.

Heavy strafe on our left at 5.10 A.M. We "stood by" in case it extended to our front. Firing nearly all morning on [?].
