Miss Kathleen Irving,
76, Spadina Road,
Toronto.

Dear Miss Irving,

Yours of the 6th ults. to hand and any service I have been to your father and yourself in the way of forwarding Gordon's mail I am pleased indeed to be of that service and do not consider it any trouble.

Your letter advises us you had during that last week sent several boxes but you expected he would very shortly leave for France - on the 9th ults. we got an address "Pilots Pool" but it has since been changed to the 19th Squadron, R.F.C. B.E.F. France which you will probably know but it is always better for you to send mail here because we learn of a change of address quicker than you could and if readdressed to the new address the delivery is more expeditious than having to follow him up. Since he has been in France we have sent him 6 parcels - that is up to the time of writing.

Very pleased to hear Mr. Irving is getting better - you remark slowly - we hope although slow it may prove to be more permanent - my very best wishes are with him and I hope he may regain his usual health and strength and maintain it.

Very best wishes for Xmas to you all and a healthful happy 1918.

Yours sincerely,
E.S. Metcalf
