Dear sis.

Recived your most welcome letter yeasterday you said you had not recived a letter from me for a long while I have wrote you twice since I heard from they must have gone astray. But belive me it keeps me going writing to all. there's George Eric Miss Shaw and Annie you Connie Winnie Elsie Dad and Aunt Eva and cousin Jeal and a few more some of the boys in the 68th Bats I am glad you are getting along well with nursing and the babis I suppose that is what you like. I am expecting to go on a six day leave next week I am going up to see Aunt Eva and I might take a trip up to Miss Mathew's if the money lasts it is pretty scarce just now. I wrote home for twenty five Dollars I hope I get it for I intend borrowing a pound or tow off Auntie when I get on leave that is if I run short I do not know how you got along before you started to get payed it helps me to pumping to get along on three pound a monthe you know what kind of a boy I am for spending you know how Dad yousted to call me down for spending money. I will send you a photo as soon as I get some more taken I don't think I will have any taken before next pay day. George and Eric seem to like it not to bad over there in France I wish we were over there Getting tired of staying here would like to have some excitment eithere in poping off the Germans or them taking a pop at me I hate to go back now with out getting a pop at them but it looks as though we are not going to get out there. now we got so far I would like to the rest of the way. The country is very pretty over here now you could not get prettier bit of sinre than their is around here the only fault there is around heer is to many hills to clim when on a march it is all hills and valleys. as I have to write a letter home and to Annie I will have to close hoping you are well
