Mr. A.F. Nelson,
722 Kings Road,
Victoria B.C.

Dear Mr. Nelson:

The Department of National Defence, from time to time, furnishes me with lists of those missing, wounded and killed overseas. I was exceedingly sorry to note in the list, which arrived today, that your son, Pte. A. F> Nelson, has been wounded while on active service.

I trust, by the time this letter reaches you, that you will have received more comforting news. I am sure that the days are very anxious ones for you.

If there is any information that I can give you, or get for you, I will be only too happy to be of service to you.

Yours truly,

R.W. Mayhew
