Dear Emma

Yours of the 19th ult. Received, enclosing one of Father's.

In my last letter I was rather emphatic about you going to the coast, but if you think it will be good for your health, why go to it. I was thinking more of the children at the time, certainly they are at an age when the character of their home is likely to be reflected in their later life. But if you think it is wise, act as you feel.

Thank you for the magazines, tho I have not received them yet, but the papers generally arrive a day later than the letters. The tobacco will be welcome.

The advance in price of glasses is amazing, but cannot be helped.

I wrote a letter to Father on reading his.

With love to all and congratulations to Grace.
