Dear Mother:-

I have not received any Canadian mail for about 3 weeks nor had any body else that I know of, and everybody feels anxious as to what is up with it but we heard that we would only get one a month after this and it is beginning to look that way. I have not received any mail from you since the letters I answered on Mother's day. I just forget if that is two or three weeks ago. I say Moon a couple of times in the last few days. We were not very busy so took a walk over to his unit on May 24 also last night and saw him both times. He is looking pretty good too. Some time within the next couple of months you might receive a photo of Uncle Harrys grave and if you ever do so please forward it on to Aunt Effie. I got the particulars as to how they can be got so will look after it some day soon. Andrew has been taken back to his battalion out of the Machine gun Co and is in the bugle band now so he will not be going to the trenches. He showed me a letter from Freddie and he is in France now but will not tell Andrew what he is in but is in the same battalion as Andrew now and has spoke for a good job for him also. I do not know if I mentioned that I passed Fred Clouston some time ago but did not have a chance to speak. only to say hello. I think that I will have to get a whole bunch of letters printed and just have blank place for the date as all the letters are about the same at least I think so. All there is to say feeling well, good or bad weather, working hard or having it easy and I saw so and so. It sure is a hard problem to write a newsy letter. We have had dandy weather for over a month now and it is sometimes pretty hot not only with the sun but that so-of-a-gun Fritz makes it warm at time as well. I got a field card from Earnest May but I do know where he is and also got a couple of letters from Aunt Mabel. Andrew was telling me that Gen. Young who used to be on [?] was asking for me. Well I guess I will close for now and will wait a few days more to see if any mail comes in.

love to all

from Gordon

Did you ever get those photos
