Jan 6 - no mail, saw fight between soldiers and civies, home at night

Jan 7 - two letters from GLF down to Westover to YMCA

Jan 8 - no mail went to Cologne raid on civies by M.P.s

Jan 9 - card from Rev Newton on piquet down to the Y.M.C.A wrote GLF

Jan 10 - Went to YMCA and Cologne to dance for officers

Jan 11 - Went out to supper girl gave bunch of staff and Iron Cross for GLF

Jan 12 - Stayed in, no mail Had a bad headache

Jan 13 - Had rabbit supper with a Fritz home at 9.pm

Jan 14 - Left Cologne on road all day and night in train

Jan 15 - Arrived in Huy-Hoe and marched to Burdinne

Jan 16 - On picquet changed a 160 mrks I won into French money (won it on 2 pennies)

Jan 22 - Played off after dinner, bunch went to Liege for 2 days

Jan 23 - Inspection of horses and harness for parade for King Albert at Liege

Jan 24 - Went to Huy for ammunition gone all day.

Jan 25 - still getting ready for Liege

Jan 26 - Got letter from GLF started to write back no doing

Jan 27 - won 40 francs playing rummy and poker no mail

Jan 28 - letter from GLF, on picquet at night half holiday

Jan 29 - wrote GLF at night still getting ready for Liege at Burdinne Belgium

Jan 30 - Bunch left for Liege in morning
