The members Officer's Mess of the 72nd Battalion, established at BRAMSHOTT, on May 5th 1916, who came to France with the Battalion, have subscribed the sum of $ 125. 5. ld., as the nucleus of a fund for the purpose of endowing a bed in the Vancouver General Hospital, for the free treatment of needy members of the Battalion, and their families, to commemorate the deeds of fallen Officers of this Battalion.
The following have been appointed Trustees of this Fund+

Major. R.H. Tupper, Vancouver
J. Fyfe-Smith, Esq., Vancouver
With instructions to invest the money in Canadian War Loan, until a sufficient amount has been subscribed, and all future Officers should be given the opportunity of doing so, up to $ 4. 0.Od each.
If you approve of the proposal, and desire to subscribe will you please send me, or the Trustees, a cheque for the amount of our subscription.
