My Dear Wanda

Marjorie has just sent the word that you and Leslie were married a few weeks ago. I hope you will be very happy and that this wretched war will soon finish and allow you to make a proper HOME together. You know that we are not allowed to send either money nor goods to Canada but I am making you some table linen during this winter and shall hope soon to be allowed to send it – and may you live long to wear it out is the sincere wish of your old Auntie Marie – I expect you read my letters to your Mother so will not repeat my bits of news but I shall always be pleased to hear from you. I suppose you will keep on with your job you couldn’t be spared from what I hear.

Marjorie seems very full of beans and enthusiastic over her job. She has done marvelously to get such a post, but she is a very capable girl that worked hard for it. Dan returns here to school today – very satisfied with life I hear and very much looking forward to his Football. He is a dear little boy and loves coming up here on Sundays occasionally with Tim and Kathleen.

Well good bye my dear write to me whenever you can spare the time but I expect you are very busy and I most certainly am busier than ever before I think or perhaps it is that I am getting older it is all harder work!!!

Best love from
Auntie Marie
