Letter

England, Sept. 22/16.

Dear Dad,

I hope you will not feel neglected because I do not write you, but my time is not my own, and while I write to Mother and Nert, I know you will understand the letters are as much yours as theirs.

I want a couple of little things so will explain them to you.

First a little leather note book from stock about 2½ x 4 or 5” open long side, number in back 1396½, plain ruling.

Second, the people who make those auto eyeglass holders, make one for a pencil. If this will hold standard indelibles get me one. If not please take the best pencil cap you have and drill it thro at the top, and soft solder in a ring with joint inside cap, [drawing added here of cap]and send with it a black auto holder. I have a terrible time with my pencils.

Third, a metal cased, pocket, rubber stamp, as small and neat as possible, small plain type. No border. [capitalized text below set apart within a rectangular outline:]
            W.W.D. No 534709
            No 10 STATIONARY HOSPITAL.
            CANADIAN CONTINGENT B.E.F.
            ARMY P.O. – LONDON – ENGLAND
The ink must be dark, black preferred, and indelible if possible. A little bottle of ink with it, they will send it if you order it. I want if for hand kerchiefs, return address on envelopes etc.

Nerta will pay for these.

I must close, as they are locking us up.

Lovingly,
Worth.
