Dear Mother:-

As this is Sunday afternoon thought I would drop you a few lines to let you know I am well and getting along fine. The weather is getting pretty cool here now and it rains nearly every day. I saw Horace Smith he used to work with Lowe's he came over here in the 105th every where you go you will meet half a dozen of Islanders.

This is a mighty short letter but as I have no news it is impossible to write anything. Write soon and give me all the news from around there I suppose you are into the harvest by this time. Write Soon.

Good Bye

Allan Hamm.
