Dear Madam,

We have received many cards of thanks for the Christmas presents we sent to the men in France. As you so kindly subscribed towards these presents we thought you might like to have some of the answers. The Xmas card was made so that the back would tear off and it is on this that the men have written.

The full amount of £2000 which we asked for was subscribed and this gave every man in France a present and we now send you all our sincere thanks for your help.

Yours faithfully,

(Mary Plummer)

Capt. C.F.C.C.
