Dear Folks:

Just a line to enclose these things I promised. For the love of Mike don't show them to anybody or they'll think we're losing sure. It couldn't have been much worse. Send one down to Marg & Flora if you think they can stand it.

Was at the Corps Sports on the 1st and saw quite a bunch of fellows I knew. There must have been a least ten thousand there and the grounds were fixed up fine. Of course the track was new and not very fast but pretty fair time was made at that. Roy Haliburton took the broad jump at 21'7". Logan Blades entered in too many events and ended up with 2 sends and a third. The 1st Division got the most events.

I hunted all day for Chuck but couldn't find him. I suppose he was in the crowd somewhere.

We've had a pretty fair time -- I'm getting used to military schools now and this is the second time I' ve taken this course.

I haven't written Dad yet about the homestead but I'll try and get it off tonight.

I'm not much wiser yet about my leave, but it isn't very liable to come for awhile yet. Leave has been going very fast lately but it will probably get better from now on. I'll let you know if I find out when I'm due. Haven't heard from Peener lately but I guess he's O.K.

Haven't got much mail lately on account of being away from the B'n but I'll most likely get a dose of it when I get back.

Love to Everybody

Bill
