My Dear Sister,

When I arrived at Seaford the other night, your letter was one of those awaiting me and I was sure glad to get it, as I have not had one for some time. Of course, I know how busy you are I am not very busy at present tho, being in the patients mess room. About all I have to do is draw the rations and serve them. In with me is a young fellow who was at one time in your room at school. Jacques is his name. We have three patients who wash the dishes, sweep up, etc, so it is not hard. 6.45 starting gets us thro between 9 and 10, then about 11.30 to 1.30 or 2 for dinner and 4.30 to 5.30 or 6. for tea. We have time to write etc in the A.M. and take a trip down town in the afternoon and at night.

This is a very pretty place, I will send some views later. I think I sent you a card of the hospital, but one picture cannot show it, as there is so much to it. When my camera arrives, I will make some views and give you an idea of it.

It is really a beautiful collection of buildings and formerly used as a convalescent home by C of E nursing sisters. We have under 75 convalescent patients here now, from our Seaford hospitals, but when run as we expect, I think we will have 5 to 900 Overseas casualties, which will make it very interesting work. They hope to close up Seaford but I doubt if they will be able to.

I have a good room and a bed but blankets, mattress and pillow only. It is surely comfortable tho, and there is a good roof over my head.

I don’t remember Pearl Mac C. but sister McKinnon of Lindsay was at M.B.C.H. and she said she had a cousin there. I don’t know her name.

I sent Audrey a card, so she should be satisfied. I will drop her another later.

Well Dear, the patients are getting the bread cut etc, so I will have to look busy,

Lovingly,
Worth.
