Dear Mother and All,

Well I suppose you are anxious to hear from me, but this will have to be a note.

Yesterday I got my uniform in the morning and put in a couple of hours in the Quartermaster’s stores assisting there, got off at 11.15 for the balance of the day and spent it with Frank.

This morning I paraded with the awkward squad and a lecture afterward. Our hours are about as follows:
            8.30 to 9.30 am - Physical Exercise
            9.30 to 10.45am Drill
            10.45 to 11.00 - Rest
            11.00 to 12.00 - Lecture
            2.00 to 3.15 pm Drill
            Rest 15 min
            3.30 to 4.30 - Lectures
so you see they use some consideration.

My shoes were too short and I am wearing my black ones, till they are changed for me. Will get new ones to-morrow noon. They issued me two dandy pairs but I wore one and may have to keep them, however will see. The shirt issue is good. I will (and am) wear them.

I will apply in the morning for pass and if I get it, will be down Saturday afternoon. Frank is coming too. I have seen Van a couple of times.

Must close as I am ready for tea, feel fine,

Lovingly,
Worth.
