Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along pretty good now but I am still in bed yet but I will be getting up in a few days I expect.

We are having nice warm weather here although it rains quite a lot. How are the potato and turnip crops this year I suppose you are all done digging by this time? How did Perce's ankle get is it allright.

Did you keep my Sons' of England dues paid up. Also send me George Worthy's address I want to write to him.

Has Laura Smallwood got married.

Well I guess as that is all the questions I can think of for this letter I will have to close hoping you are all well as it leaves me in good health. Write Soon.

Good Bye

Allan.
