Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along pretty good but am still in bed but I think I am near as well there perhaps as training at the depot or in France filling in the trenches I have no pain so I think its much better here. There are only five or six Canadians in this Hospital now. I had a parcel from you mailed 16th Oct. it was to France and was sent back to the pay and recvrd office and they are sent to us from there, so that makes three I've had in about a fortnight so I've had lots to eat lately. We are having awfully dull weather here but its pretty warm. Well I must ring off for now as news is very scarce hoping you are all well and Wishing you all a Merry X-mas & Happy New Year.

Good Bye
A Hamm.
